  <description>
  ART+ interviewed Mr. Ben Jaffe, artistic director of Preservation Hall Jazz Band about Preservation Hall’s new box CD ‘Made in New Orleans’ which is actually all made in New Orleans. It includes historical treasures about Preservation Hall and Preservation Hall Jazz Band. The new CD will be available on line at the band’s web site http://www.preservationhall.com starting July, 2007.

  Mr. Jaffe shared with ART+ how Hurricane Katrina's affected the band and led to the release of their new CD, Made in New Orleans, to commemorate and preserve its 47 year music history. Hurricane Katrina destroyed the homes of five of the band's members and led to closing Preservation Hall's building for eight months. The building re-opened in May, 2006 to a limited performance schedule.
